Job Title: Sales Representative

 

Job Summary:
Chesapeake Automotive Equipment is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Representative to join our team. This position is responsible for field sales of high-quality brands in collision repair, automotive service, and general shop equipment. You will work directly with body shops, service centers, heavy-duty repair facilities, and dealership groups, delivering tailored solutions to enhance their productivity and profitability. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills, a strong sales aptitude, and the ability to build long-term customer relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field sales to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions.

  • Represent high-quality brands and product lines in collision repair, automotive service, and general shop equipment.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with body shops, service centers, heavy-duty repair facilities, and dealership groups.

  • Make cold calls to generate new leads and expand the customer base.

  • Work independently to manage a sales territory and meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales process.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, product offerings, and competitor activities.

  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to demonstrate product features and benefits.

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-ups.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of sold equipment.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.

  • Proven experience in field sales, preferably in the automotive industry.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.

  • Familiarity with collision repair, automotive service, and shop equipment is highly desirable.

  • Reliable transportation is required, along with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

  • Proficient in using sales software, CRM tools, and basic office applications.

  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
