Job Title: Delivery/Service/Warehouse Manager

Job Summary:
Chesapeake Automotive Equipment is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Delivery/Service/Warehouse Manager to oversee and coordinate the inventory flow, ordering, deliveries, and storage of tools, supplies, parts, and equipment. This position is also responsible for managing the dispatching of service jobs to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a strong understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the inventory flow of tools, supplies, parts, and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and efficient organization.

  • Coordinate ordering processes, including monitoring stock levels and placing timely orders to prevent shortages.

  • Oversee storage operations, ensuring all items are stored properly and in compliance with safety and organizational standards.

  • Plan and schedule deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of equipment to customers and service jobs.

  • Collaborate with the service team to prioritize and dispatch service jobs efficiently.

  • Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring accuracy and minimizing discrepancies.

  • Develop and implement systems to improve workflow and warehouse efficiency.

  • Ensure all warehouse and delivery operations comply with company policies and safety regulations.

  • Train and supervise warehouse staff as needed, promoting teamwork and productivity.

  • Provide excellent communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.

  • Proven experience in warehouse, inventory, or logistics management, preferably in the automotive industry.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage complex workflows.

  • Knowledge of tools, supplies, and equipment used in automotive service and repair is preferred.

  • Proficiency in inventory management software and basic office applications.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and work in a warehouse environment.

  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
